Third Thursday Evening Program Series: Barns and Brooms Tour

Join us for special programming during extended evening hours at the Shaker Heritage Society!
Hear the fascinating story about how and why the 1915 Shaker barn was built and how it functioned. Participants see the inside of the recently restored manure shed, which is not regularly open to the public. See Shaker broom making equipment in the barn and learn about Brother Theodore Bates, inventor of the flat broom.
Bring a picnic dinner to enjoy on the lawn (grounds are open until dusk).
