Fern Walk at Ann Lee Pond
October 5 @ 9:00 am - 11:30 am
Led by botanists Laura Lehtonen and Steve Young. You will meet at the parking lot by the trail entrance, located at 117 Heritage Lane.
Ferns are a diverse group of beautiful plants that reproduce by spores and occur in a variety of habitats. We will take a walk in the woods around Ann Lee Pond and see how many species we can find and describe their plant parts and how they are identified. (Chances are that we’ll probably mention a few other interesting plants along the way.) You don’t have to be any kind of plant expert to participate, and the walk will be relaxed and supportive. Join us for a fun walk that will open your eyes to the fascinating world of ferns.
Admission is FREE, but registration is required. Please register online at Eventbrite!
