Shaker Your Plate Fundraising Event

Save the date for our annual Fall fundraiser!
This annual event is a celebration of the site of America’s first Shaker Settlement, and its purpose is threefold: to raise funds to protect the Shaker National Historic District from the threat of development, to celebrate the Church Family Site as a community center, and to honor our ever-growing corps of volunteers and supporters who see the potential of this site and lead the effort to preserve our local history.
This year we will celebrate the release of Heritage Cooking with a festive picnic menu inspired by the community cookbook.
Enjoy lunch, sip local brews, and hear insightful interviews facilitated by food journalist and Albany Cooking School owner Deanna Fox.
We’ll also be hosting a silent auction with a variety of items donated by our Craft Fair vendors. Proceeds will go to support the Shaker Heritage Society’s efforts to restore and maintain our historic buildings, as well as educational programming.
Tickets are $25 per person for SHS Members and $30 for the general public.
